Capital A Berhad has announced robust financial results for the second quarter of 2026, marking its second consecutive profitable quarter following the disposal of its aviation business. The company reported a revenue increase of 9% year-on-year (YoY) to RM809 million, largely driven by the expansion of its maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, alongside a surge in cross-border logistics volume.
The group's net operating profit for Q2 stood at RM38.5 million, whilst profit after tax reached RM25 million, despite a RM5.6 million foreign exchange loss. The first half of 2026 saw a 4% YoY revenue increase to RM1.58 billion, with Teleport and ADE contributing over 70% of the total group revenue.
Asia Digital Engineering (ADE), the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) subsidiary of Capital A, achieved a record quarterly performance with a 29% YoY revenue increase to RM284 million, driven by higher-value maintenance checks and increased workshop orders. Teleport also delivered strong results, with Q2 revenue up 22% YoY to RM311 million, supported by increased parcel and freight volumes.
AirAsia MOVE, despite industry challenges, expanded its revenue by 5% YoY to RM96 million in Q2. AirAsia Next and Santan also showed resilience, with AirAsia Next's revenue rising 8% YoY to RM78 million, and Santan maintaining steady revenue despite a decline in passenger volume.
Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes expressed satisfaction with the results, highlighting the company's strategic focus on expanding its business and reducing reliance on its airline group. He noted, "We continue to trek in the right direction financially, with strong business momentum led by Teleport and ADE."
Looking ahead, Capital A anticipates challenging operating conditions in the latter half of the year but remains confident in its ability to deliver strong growth once global tensions ease.
