Carnival Cruise Line has announced that reservations are now open for its latest ship, Carnival Tropicale, which will set sail from Galveston, Texas, starting 15 April 2028. The ship, the final addition to Carnival's Excel class, promises to deliver a new level of entertainment and dining experiences, connecting guests to exclusive destinations in the Caribbean, The Bahamas, and Mexico.

Carnival Tropicale will offer a range of cruise durations, from four to eight days, visiting Carnival's exclusive Paradise Collection destinations such as Celebration Key, RelaxAway, and Isla Tropicale, as well as popular ports like Progreso and Nassau. Ben Clement, Executive Vice President of maritime and new builds at Carnival Cruise Line, stated, "Carnival Tropicale will bring an exciting new holiday option to Texas when she debuts in 2028."

In celebration of the ship's future home, Carnival and MEYER WERFT hosted a western-themed event at the shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where Carnival Tropicale is being constructed. André Walter, CEO of MEYER WERFT, expressed his excitement, noting that Carnival Tropicale is the fifth Excel class ship for Carnival, highlighting the strong partnership between the two companies.

The ship will feature Sunsation Point, a vibrant family fun zone with the most family-friendly water park at sea, and The Next Course of dining concepts, including Hawaiian-inspired Uku LeiLei and Emeril's Coastal Seafood. Carnival Tropicale will also introduce new entertainment experiences inspired by the golden era of show business, with further details to be revealed in the coming months.
