“China remains a priority” as Rosewood adds four to Asian network

Shanghai, China

Hong Kong based luxury hospitality group Rosewood Hotel Group is stepping up its Asia expansion with the opening of four new properties in China, Southeast Asia and India, they announced today.

The new hotels include Rosewood Shenzhen, opening 2022;  Rosewood Hermana Mayor, opening 2023; New World Jaipur Resort, opening 2023 and Rosewood Shanghai, opening 2024.

“China remains a priority”

Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotel Group, said: “We intend to double the number of Rosewood hotels in the next five years, from our current 24 hotels in 15 countries, with a full one-third of new properties located in Asia. China remains a priority and our entry into Shanghai and Shenzhen represents an important expansion of our footprint in Tier 1 cities.

The growth of the group’s ultra-luxury brand is fuelled by its ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy – Rosewood’s focus on creating exquisite, one-of-a-kind properties that reflect each destination’s history, culture and lifestyle in the world’s most desirable locations.”

New openings

Rosewood Shanghai, China will feature 220 rooms and 83 luxury Rosewood Residences (serviced apartments) and offer views of the Puxi and Pudong skylines, with easy access to the famous Bund promenade, Nanjing Road commercial area and People’s Square.

Rosewood Shenzhen, China will have 300 guestrooms and 50 Rosewood Residences, situated in the thriving Pearl River Delta area at the intersection of Nanshan, Futian, and Baoan Districts.
