DHL Express and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have renewed their partnership to operate five Boeing 777 freighters from Singapore Changi Airport. This collaboration, which began in 2022, will continue to see SIA pilots flying the aircraft and SIA engineers maintaining them. The freighters are crucial for connecting DHL's South Asia Hub in Singapore with key destinations in the United States, enhancing the air cargo links between the Asia-Pacific region and global markets.

Travis Cobb, Executive Vice President for Network Operations and Aviation at DHL Express, highlighted the importance of the freighters, stating, "These five Boeing 777 freighters have become an integral part of our intercontinental operations, helping our customers move time-definite shipments with speed and reliability."

Lee Lik Hsin, Chief Commercial Officer at Singapore Airlines, emphasised the partnership's role in reinforcing Singapore's position as a leading air freight hub. "The renewal of our agreement with DHL Express reflects the strength and continuity of our partnership," he said, noting its significance in the e-commerce segment.

Each Boeing 777 freighter can carry up to 102 tonnes of cargo, making them among the world's largest and most capable twin-engine freighters. The agreement not only enhances DHL's global aviation capabilities but also anchors more long-haul cargo capacity at Changi Airport, reflecting confidence in the long-term growth of international trade
