EGYPTAIR has become the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to deploy the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) New Distribution Capability (NDC) 24.4, thanks to TPConnects Technologies. This deployment marks a significant milestone in modern airline retailing, enhancing pricing accuracy, order servicing, and real-time accounting for travel partners.

The implementation of NDC 24.4 positions EGYPTAIR at the forefront of digital transformation in the airline industry. The advanced standard offers substantial benefits, including enhanced order management with precise pricing and improved error handling, advanced order servicing with accurate penalty visibility, and streamlined order accounting with real-time reconciliation.

Kristiaan VanDijken, VP Account Management – Airlines at TPConnects Technologies, stated, "We are honoured to support EGYPTAIR as the first airline in the Middle East and Africa to deploy NDC 24.4 in production. This showcases their vision for modern airline retailing and their commitment to delivering exceptional value to travel partners and passengers through industry-leading distribution technology."

This development builds on EGYPTAIR's previous implementation of TPConnects' Astra NDC solution, which has already enabled travel agents and online travel agencies to access the airline's full range of products and services. As a member of Star Alliance, EGYPTAIR operates services to 75 destinations globally, reinforcing its leadership in adopting next-generation distribution technology
