Embraer and Portugália Airlines, a TAP Group company operating under the TAP Express brand, have signed a new Component Pool Programme agreement to support the airline's fleet of 19 E-Jets. This agreement, announced on 15 October 2026, aims to optimise aircraft availability as Portugália expands its regional operations.
The Component Pool Programme will provide comprehensive support for Portugália's 12 E-190 and seven E-195 aircraft. It covers over 300 components across various systems, offering advanced exchange services, repair, and overhaul solutions. Mário Lobato de Faria, Managing Director of Portugália Airlines, expressed satisfaction with the renewed partnership, stating, "More than the Programme itself is the Embraer team behind it with whom we relate in a fantastic way."
Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, highlighted the importance of the agreement, saying, "Their continued confidence in our solutions is a testament to the value it delivers to operators worldwide."
Embraer's Pool Programme is designed to deliver significant savings in component repair and inventory holding costs, reduce warehousing needs, and ensure guaranteed performance levels. This collaboration reinforces Embraer's commitment to supporting airlines globally with its technical expertise and extensive services network.
Portugália Airlines, based in Lisbon, Portugal, has been part of the TAP Group since 2007 and operates under the TAP Express brand. The airline serves destinations in Europe and North Africa, contributing to around 25% of TAP Group flights.
