Etihad Airways, the official airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced two new routes, flying passengers directly between Abu Dhabi and Copenhagen and Dusseldorf.
The new service, which will begin in October, will use Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to fly four times per week to Copenhagen and three times per week to Düsseldorf, connecting the United Arab Emirates with major cities in Europe and making the region more accessible to business and leisure travellers.
Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves is thrilled about the company’s new routes: “We are happy to start flying to Denmark for the first time and to expand our network in Germany to our third city, offering passengers with additional vacation alternatives and simpler connectivity between Abu Dhabi and Europe.”
During the European winter, “our new flights will take off,” the company said. “This is the perfect time for guests to escape the cold and enjoy Abu Dhabi’s beautiful beaches, world-class entertainment, and rich heritage, and it’s also perfect for travellers choosing to experience the unique allure of Europe in the winter.”
With our expanding network to 66 cities, Etihad Airways can take you to even more exciting places.
Copenhagen is one of the most visited cities in Scandinavia. For a good reason: it has picturesque canals, a thriving café scene, and Tivoli Gardens, the oldest amusement park in the world.
With the relaunch, Etihad will provide flights to Düsseldorf, making it the third German city visitors may fly to after Frankfurt and Munich, both of which are served daily.
