EVA Air is set to launch a new nonstop service between Taipei and Delhi starting 1 December 2026. Operating five times a week with Airbus A330-300 aircraft, this new route marks EVA Air as the only Taiwan-based airline offering direct passenger flights to India. The service aims to enhance connectivity between India and North America via Taipei.
The introduction of this route is a significant milestone in EVA Air’s network expansion. EVA Air President Clay Sun stated, “The launch of nonstop Taipei-Delhi service represents an important milestone in EVA Air’s network development.” The route is designed to cater to the growing connections in the manufacturing, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and technology sectors between Taiwan and India.
The new service offers a convenient alternative for travellers who currently transit through other Asian gateways. Through EVA Air’s partnership with Star Alliance member Air India, passengers can easily connect beyond Delhi to major Indian cities. Additionally, Indian travellers can access EVA Air’s North American network via Taipei, meeting the increasing demand from business travellers, students, and tourists.
Eligible Indian nationals travelling to the US or Canada can benefit from Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit programme, facilitating short stopovers in Taiwan. EVA Air will also offer escorted tours featuring UNESCO World Heritage Sites and cultural experiences in India, available exclusively through travel agencies in Taiwan.
EVA Air, a Star Alliance member, was founded in 1989 and operates a fleet of over 80 aircraft to around 60 international destinations. The airline continues to provide a premium travel experience, linking Asia and the Americas through its efficient hub in Taipei
