Position Summary
Travel Money Currency Exchange Pty Ltd is the 100% owned foreign exchange (FX) retail business of Flight Centre Ltd and is one of the fastest growing brands in the Flight Centre group.
As a member of the Travel Money Oz Finance and Compliance team, the purpose of this position will be to provide commercial and financial support to the Finance and Operational Managers, along with the FX retail businesses throughout Australia.
This position is suited to a finance professional with an excellent eye for detail, time management, and accurate numerical skills with a strong interest in business partnering. We are looking for someone interested in growing their skills and challenging the process in a national brand within a very successful multinational company.

Based in Brisbane, the role includes but is not limited to:
Income Reconciliations and Reporting
Reconciliation and internal audit of trading accounts on a regular basis
Preparation of monthly financial statements and management accounts
Analysis and interpretation of monthly results and follow up on significant variances
Responding to requests for information both internally and from external regulators
Ensure operational leaders have timely and accurate financial data to enable decision making
Collaboration with front end businesses to facilitate accurate and efficient processing of income reconciliations and team results
Store Audits
Regular audit of TMOZ shop locations to ensure cash and compliance requirements are met
Requires the candidate to travel to stores and complete the audit checklist
Projects / Other
Assisting the team with continuous improvement of all processes
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial services industry codes of practice, local, state, and federal laws, third party and supplier guidelines, relevant accounting standards, company policies and FCL minimum standards for financial systems and processes
Training of financial systems and processes as required
AML training (Anti Money Laundering)
Accounts Payable
Processing customer and supplier payments
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining a high level of financial control and compliance
Ensure operations leaders have timely and accurate financial data available to enable decision making
Assisting with special projects and the implementation of systems and process improvement initiatives from time to time
Contributing to team goals and initiatives
The skills required of the successful candidate:
Completed Business/Commerce degree
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within an accounting/finance role
Strong customer focus and teamwork skills
High attention to detail
High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change and pressured work environment
Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with ability to develop relationships at all levels
Proven time management and organisational skills
