About your opportunity…
Flight Centre has an amazing opportunity for an up and coming Cloud Ops Engineer to join our team. As part of a dynamic, fun and outcome orientated team, you will be primarily focused on supporting a global Microsoft Azure based finance eco-system. 
The Cloud Ops Engineer is a multi-function hands on role, providing enterprise wide (within a Finance landscape) application administration and support of business-critical bespoke applications. Working closely with the Solution Architect, project members, Business users (globally), this role is responsible for the on-going monitoring, maintenance, configuration and support of key finance systems.
 
What you’ll do…
Support clients, troubleshoot and diagnose functional and technical issues in the production environment.
Identifies, logs and resolves complex application issues/errors pertaining to the Finance ecosystem: Applications include but not limited to – Azure Service Bus, Logic and Function Apps, D365FO, Basware, and Abbyy Flexicapture
Coordinate and maintain application metadata such as user provisioning, configurations of application specific mapping tables and middleware components
Monitor the performance and operation of the systems, diagnose and address problems. Automate monitoring and routine processes by scripting, utilising logging, and analytical tools
Follow ITIL Application Support methodology (utilising standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes) to carry out incident management, and recommends revisions or changes based upon root cause analysis
Accountable to management for the design, execution and improvement of the Incident Management process
Experience in establishing monitoring and alerting best practices to removed/reduce manual checks
Provide input into the Microsoft Azure Resource usage costs to ensure we are managing cost
Provide communications across the Project and Operations during major incidents and planned major releases
Risk assess high level solution design documentation for new products and systems as required, to ensure alignment with established standards
 
Who you are…
Technical background: Operations / Integration / Application Support or Application Development
Tools: Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Excel, Service Now, Cherwell or other ITSM system
Capable of developing structured approaches to problem-solving
Able to deal proactively with system challenges with little documentation
Experience in performing fishbone/root cause analysis
Ability to deliver consistent and coherent messaging advising users of issues
Recognise different stakeholder groups and manage communication and involvement effectively
Demonstratable experience in supporting a Microsoft Azure integration architecture
Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and the ITIL best practice framework
