Job Description

Jr. UX Researcher
WhereTo (now a Flight Centre company) is looking for a Junior UX Researcher to join our growing product team as we tackle some of those most interesting problems in business travel.
We’re a nimble, startup-minded team within the larger company focused on building the next-generation business travel platform that serves two of Flight Centre’s main businesses: SMB travel handled by Corporate Traveler and Enterprise travel handled by FCM.
We are looking for a Junior UX Researcher to facilitate and coordinate UX research on our team so that valuable customer insights are fed swiftly to our design and product teams.
This role will be part research coordinator and part junior researcher. As the main research coordinator on the team, you will be essential in coordinating and managing research efforts, including recruiting, scheduling, and incentivizing research participants. As a junior researcher, you will assist in research data gathering and analysis.
You will be working closely with our UX researcher, Head of Design & UX, product managers and designers.
Responsibilities:
Contact qualified customers to participate in our research activities, according to the participant criteria and project timelines determined by the team
Schedule and incentivize research participants
Manage the recruitment of participants to ensure that no one is over-recruited
Participate in discovery sessions, user interviews, and usability tests, taking notes and documenting insights gathered
Assist in analyzing research data, including listening to session recordings, processing survey data, and spotting themes and patterns
Monitor site analytics data, NPS data, and user behavioral analytics data
Requirements:
Education and/or experience in UX research, market research or related field
A solid grasp of UX research techniques including moderated and unmoderated usability testing, surveys, and interviews
A keen eye for detecting patterns in data and a consuming passion for improving the user experience of a product
Strong organization and coordination skills and confidence to interact with customers
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, designers, product managers, and developers
Proficiency in MS Office tools including Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc. and familiarity with productivity tools such as Slack and Jira
