About the Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has opened up within the financial team for the Americas, as a DMC Accountant, to set up, implement, continuously and efficiently manage the Accounting transactions of the company to maximize return on investments and achieve sound growth and profitability.
This role is based in Cancun, Mexico and will manage accounting department to ensure consistent implementation of accounting processes and procedures.
The DMC Accountant plays a pivotal role in analysing financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures
You will be responsible for:
Plan, organize and implement accounting operations and objectives; coordinate and integrate all activities toward achievement of established goals and objectives.
Ensure accounting records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Perform highly complex accounting work according to generally accepted accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.
Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures. Set up accounting policies and procedure the workflow of department
Make and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Monitor the compliance with local tax laws and regulations, working and dealing with Tax officer as well as being in charge of preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual Tax reports.
Administer monthly payroll, PIT and social insurance in conjunction with HR.
Responsibility for preparing and controlling budget and forecast activities.
Interpret the company’s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities.
Responsibility for preparing and analyzing the financial statement /reporting. pack/dashboard for forecast, flash report and month end result submission as deadline.
About youThe Essentials:
B.A. degree in Accounting.
More than 5 years’ experiences in all areas of Accounting preferred.
Good knowledge of tax regulations and practices.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations on finances and taxation.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal across a variety of cultures in Spanish and English.
Ability to motivate and lead teams to exceed tight deadlines
Highly motivated, self-starter prepared to do whatever it takes to succeed
Strong business and financial acumen

Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive and tactful manner
