Job Description
As the Senior Security Specialist at Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) you’ll play an important role as part of a high performing team to ensure that our digital assets are protected from unauthorised access or malicious action. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that the business operations are being carried out in accordance with FCTG security policy. Functionally you are responsible for the day-to-day confidentiality, integrity and availability of FCTG information assets in region.
This role has a strong focus on relationship management within Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) and with business stakeholders more widely across the business. Primarily you will provide support and guidance to staff, with a focus on improving our security posture through innovation, projects, training, and engagement of the business.

What you’ll do:
Align businesses with PCI-DSS, Data Privacy, ISM and ISO27001
Work alongside and support Security leader on Projects, Privacy, Policies and other security matters as part of a high performing team
Identify and Recommend areas for security improvement
DevSecOps, vulnerability scanning or penetration testing
Work collaboratively with Architects and Projects to develop solutions across Plan Build Run lifecycles
Document technical processes and standards
Facilitate reviews of static code analysis results with internal developers and co[1]ordinate reporting & remediation activities
Investigate problems in systems, processes and services
Apply & maintain specific security controls as required by organisational policy & local risk assessments
Take action to respond to security breaches in line with security policy
Who are you…
You’ll have a minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience with at least 5 years in an operational Cyber Security roles
Good working knowledge of tools like FireEye, Helix and Tenable
An expert in systems that make up the Security Ecosystem such as Service Now, SOC, SIEM, SOAR and other security technologies
You have experience in scripting/automation of tasks
You have demonstrated knowledge of security practices: Ethical Hacking (Pentesting), Intrusion Prevention, Incident Response, Forensics, MITRE Framework and Vulnerability management
You have an understanding of the Essential 8 and how to apply controls and assess risk
You are familiarity with security technologies that are commonly used to detect or prevent security incidents. (e.g. firewalls, load balancers, WAFs, IDS/IPS, IDP and PKI)
You’ll earn brownie points if you have…
Experience in the Travel Industry and travel management systems
Exposure to private and public cloud platforms (i.e. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, AWS, Azure)
A passion to develop in the security field, including a willingness to learn and grow skills
A high degree of flexibility and ability to deal with change, growth and pressure
