Technical Business Analyst
Umapped, a startup company that was acquired by Flight Centre Travel Group in 2018 is looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst to join our data-driven minded team. Our office is located in the trendy area of Queen west steps away from the AGO, local shops and restaurants that make up Toronto’s creative heart.  Located in a brick and beam heritage building our office boasts an open modern concept that tells a story of world travel.
Umapped’s parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group is based in Brisbane, Australia and is one of the world’s largest travel agency groups with company owned operations in 23 countries and a corporate travel management network that spans more than 90 countries.

The person we are looking for…
We are looking for a skilled Technical Business Analyst, passionate, and capable of building responsive and highly interactive experiences, someone who can  help us build innovative new functionality for the Umapped itinerary management platform.
You will be a core team member leading the business analysis discipline for both internal and external projects. You will lead requirement gathering sessions, facilitate user interviews, document user stories, contribute to both functional and non-functional test plans/cases, lead scrums and track post launch feedback to understand and improve user adoption.
You inspire others to do their best work and can consistently be counted upon to deliver results. You enjoy working closely with the product and  engineering team and enjoy mentoring and helping the team with best practices.
You need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment. You have great communication skills, able to convey information to others in a simple and unambiguous way.

Responsibilities:
Lead requirement gatherings sessions and facilitate user interviews
Document and communicate requirements both internally and externally
Perform in-depth analysis, ROI and market research for new features
Conduct project closure sessions and collect/analyze feedback to help improve user adoption.
Lead projects using agile methodology
Contribute & execute on test plans/cases
Gather and understand business needs for APIs
Requirements
Experience in the travel industry or in a SAAS environment
Training in negotiation or interviewing techniques
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Experience with test automation tools
2+ years in a business analysis role in a technical environment. Technical BA experience is an asset
Experience using  tools for data and process modelling, use case diagrams
