flydubai has inaugurated its daily non-stop service to Aleppo International Airport, marking the airline's second destination in Syria alongside Damascus. The inaugural flight, which departed from Dubai International Airport on 20 July, was welcomed with a ceremonial water cannon salute upon arrival in Aleppo.
The new route is a significant step in flydubai's expansion strategy, enhancing air connectivity between the UAE and Syria. This service provides passengers with more options for business, leisure, and family travel, particularly benefiting Syrian communities in the UAE and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The addition of Aleppo complements flydubai's existing three daily flights to Damascus, offering a more direct travel alternative.
Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, stated, “The commencement of our daily flights to Aleppo, a city of immense historical and commercial significance, strengthens our presence in Syria and reinforces our commitment to connecting Dubai with key markets in the region.”
Aleppo, Syria's second-largest city, is renowned for its historical and cultural heritage, including the Aleppo Citadel and Al-Madina Souq. The city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, continues to attract global visitors.
The new service operates under flydubai's codeshare partnership with Emirates, allowing passengers seamless access to destinations across both networks. Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Aleppo start at $2,178 (AED 8,000), whilst Economy Class Lite fares begin at $490 (AED 1,800). The flights can be booked via flydubai's website, app, or through travel partners
