The forum aimed to promote Xizang culture through a series of events

The Diverse Civilisations Shared Community Global Youth Multicultural Forum, co-hosted by the International Culture Association of the Xizang Autonomous Region and the Centre for International Cultural Communication of China International Communications Group, took place from 19 to 23 December in Singapore and Malaysia.

The forum aimed to promote Xizang culture through a series of events, including keynote speeches, roundtable dialogues, and cultural performances.

Themed Hearing the Yarlung Zangbo Through the Voice of Youth in Singapore and Cultures as The Way: Youth Mission in Heritage Preservation in Malaysia, the forum brought together 15 experts and scholars.

They shared insights on cultural and tourism integration, cultural communication, ecological charm, and international exchanges, offering diverse approaches for cross-cultural engagement.

A performance for learning

In addition to discussions, the event featured cultural and art exchange performances by the Xizang Song and Dance Troupe.

These performances extended to the streets of Singapore and Malaysia, where flash mobs captivated tourists with a blend of Xizang's traditional song and dance and urban styles.

Centred on the theme Diverse Civilisations Shared Community, the performances showcased the unique charm of Xizang's culture and highlighted the friendship between China and Malaysia.

The forum also included an exhibition of photographs depicting Xizang's development over the years, providing audiences with an immersive experience of the region's cultural appeal and achievements.

This event underscored the idea that civilisations grow richer through exchanges and interconnectedness through mutual learning.
