Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the largest alliance of independent hotel brands, has reported a robust 11% year-on-year revenue increase in the second quarter of 2026, reaching $858 million (US$858 million).

This growth contributed to a total revenue of $1.8 billion (US$1.8 billion) for the first half of the year, reflecting sustained demand across all regions.

The alliance's success was bolstered by a 21% rise in room nights booked by loyalty members, indicating higher occupancy and longer stays. Italy, Spain, and Thailand emerged as the top international destinations in Q2. The GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme played a pivotal role, with cross-brand bookings generating $132 million (US$132 million), a 32% increase from the previous year. This was complemented by a 41% rise in D$ redemptions, as members utilised digital rewards to offset costs.

Chris Hartley, CEO of GHA, stated, “Our Q2 2026 results demonstrate the continued strength of the GHA DISCOVERY platform and the value of our alliance model.”

International travel remained a key driver, accounting for $476 million (US$476 million) in room revenue, a 12% increase year-on-year. The US and UK were the top feeder markets, with $86 million (US$86 million) generated from the US alone.

Looking ahead, GHA is poised for continued growth, having added 31 new properties and four new member brands in H1 2026. The alliance's expanding portfolio now surpasses 1,000 hotels, enhancing its global reach and offering members diverse stay experiences. Despite market uncertainties, GHA remains confident in its ability to deliver strong results in the second half of the year
