Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain welcomed the airline’s third Airbus A320neo, which on 26 October will begin operating to Gulf Air’s newest destination, Male, in the Maldives. Talking about this new additional route, Krešimir Kučko, CEO at Gulf Air, said: “The Maldives is a breath-taking destination that fits perfectly in the carrier’s new boutique strategy where it caters to the premium traveller seeking a tropical holiday wrapped in luxury, endorsed by our excellent connectivity through Bahrain International Airport.”

Featuring the widest single-aisle cabin in the market, the new aircraft is equipped with LEAP-1A engines from CFM International and feature large wingtip devices known as Sharklets.
