Here’s how face-to-face speed networking is returning at WTM 2021

The World Travel Market (WTM) event is returning to London this year, after it was held virtually in 2020. A revamped version of the WTM Buyers’ Club ‘Speed Networking’ event is one of the main features of this year’s schedule, with speed networking taking place from 8:30am to 10am on all three days of the in-person event from 1-3 November 2021.

Buyers and exhibitors will be matched based upon business needs with five-minute introductions. Each day of the event will have a different networking focus: Europe on 1 November, specific verticals (responsible tourism, cruising, etc) on 2 November, and international on 3 November.

Simon Press, WTM London exhibition director, explained: “These laser-focussed five-minute meetings are ideal for buyers and exhibitors to not only rebuild and reconnect with existing partners but also to forge new relationships for the return of travel. The Buyers’ Club has been growing and now has representatives from more than 80 countries, giving exhibitors the chance to engage directly with a global audience of decision-makers. Recent research has demonstrated that buyers can’t wait to get back to physical events – and trade shows in particular – to look for new business opportunities.”
