Holland America Line has announced the opening of bookings for its 2028 Alaska cruise season, featuring unique voyages and the debut of the reimagined Oosterdam.
Known for its expertise in Alaska cruises, the company is offering itineraries ranging from seven to 18 days, departing from Seattle, Vancouver, and a new route from San Diego to Vancouver.
The 2028 season introduces several first-time experiences, including scenic cruising through Nootka Sound and the debut of the Oosterdam following its Evolution transformation.
Paul Grigsby, vice president of revenue planning and deployment, stated, “Our 2028 season reflects that approach, pairing the Alaska highlights guests expect with a collection of distinctive experiences.”
The Oosterdam will be the first ship to feature Holland America Evolution, the cruise line's largest fleet investment. It will also serve as the primary vessel for Alaska Cruisetours, offering overland exploration into Denali and the Yukon. The ship's transformation includes new Solo Verandah staterooms, Bridgeview Suites, and the Grand Dutch Café.
Highlights of the new itineraries include the 11-day California to Alaska Shores, Fjords & Glaciers voyage, and the 18-day Great Bear Rainforest & Alaska Explorer. Guests can also enjoy the Have It All Early Booking Bonus, which includes various perks such as shore excursion credits and premium WiFi.
