Holland America Line is marking its 80th year of exploring Alaska by launching the Alaska Heritage Tours, a collection of experiences that link modern travellers with the cruise line's historical journeys in the region. These tours, available on select cruises and Cruisetours, offer guests a chance to engage with Alaska's rich history and culture through iconic experiences that have been part of the Holland America journey since the 1940s.
The Alaska Heritage Tours include more than three dozen options, highlighting the state's railways, glaciers, wildlife, and national parks. Notable tours feature the McKinley Explorer Railroad, the White Pass Summit Scenic Railroad, and the Mendenhall Glacier Explorer. Carole Biencourt, vice president of onboard revenue at Holland America Line, emphasised the enduring appeal of these experiences, stating, "One of the most remarkable things about Alaska is that many of the experiences travellers seek out today are the very same ones that first inspired visitors decades ago."
Guests can choose from a variety of itineraries, including the 28-day Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle voyage and the Glacier Discovery itineraries, which provide access to the natural beauty of Southcentral Alaska. The tours are designed to deepen connections with Alaska's landscapes, wildlife, and communities.
The Alaska Heritage Tours collection is now open for booking on select 2027 Alaska cruises and Cruisetours. Holland America Line continues to offer over 200 shore excursions, expert insights, and exclusive inland exploration opportunities, ensuring a comprehensive and immersive experience for all guests.
