TDM AWARDS - NOMINATE NOW!

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) has successfully captivated visitors with its immersive interactive experiences, notably the Chip 'n' Dale Lucky Nugget Spin at Grizzly Gulch, which has seen over 30,000 participations since its launch in April.

This attraction combines storytelling, live interactions, and surprises, enhancing the park's atmosphere and guest engagement.

The resort's strategy of integrating retail with storytelling has fuelled a craze for collectible merchandise, transforming souvenirs into meaningful mementos. David Koo, director of merchandise at HKDL, emphasised the importance of creating keepsakes that capture the stories and memories of a visit. "Through interactive experiences, we hope to make merchandise a natural extension of the Disney park journey," he stated.

Beyond Grizzly Gulch, HKDL has introduced other engaging experiences, such as the Popcorn Pop-Up Shop on Main Street, USA, where guests can discover hidden Pixar plushies. The Snow White Grotto now offers the Lock of Dreams experience, providing guests with a ceremonial souvenir.

The park's classic Pin Trading tradition continues to thrive, with Main Street Collectibles reopening in June to feature dedicated pin display areas. This tradition allows guests to connect with others and collect unique memories.

During its 20th anniversary celebrations, HKDL sold over 35 million themed merchandise items, including 600,000 units of the SouvenEARS collection. Looking forward, the resort plans to introduce new Pixar and Marvel-themed experiences, further enriching its offerings and solidifying its status as a premier travel destination
