From Warsaw to Yangon — get ready for a trip around the world, as we take a look at the hottest new hotels the industry has to offer. On this week’s edition of hot hotel openings, we’ve got properties from Nobu Hotels, Belmond Cap Juluca, Wyndham, LUX, and Best Western.
Nobu Hotel Warsaw
On track for 20 hotels globally by 2020, Nobu Hotels has announced its foray into Poland. Nobu Hotel Warsaw will be situated in the heart of the city, with 120-rooms, expansive meeting and event spaces, a fitness centre and signature Nobu Restaurant.
Nobu Hotel’s first Polish property, designed by the Polish architectural firm, Medusa Group, will open in the first half of next year and occupy a new building located at Wilcza Street.
Belmond Cap Juluca
Basking in the Caribbean sun, the newly-launched Belmond Cap Juluca dubs itself as “the ultimate barefoot luxury escape”. It’s designed by US design firm, Rottet Studio, and features signature Greco-Moorish architecture with 108 newly-designed rooms and suites.
The three and five-bedroom private villas offer space for families and groups of friends to embrace dining, swimming and socialising in private, but with front row access to the island’s best beach.
Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc
Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc is located on the island’s west coast, a few miles from Phu Quoc International Airport. It officially opened its doors on 20 January 2019, with a ceremony attended by senior executives from Best Western Hotels & Resorts, hotel owners and developers, and Phu Quoc Investment & Development JSC and CEO Group.
This hotel destination features 566 keys including rooms, suites and a series of villas alongside a 300-metre lagoon pool.
Wyndham Grand Yangon
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has introduced its most luxurious brand to Myanmar with the launch of the new Wyndham Grand hotel in downtown Yangon.
Wyndham Grand Yangon becomes the group’s second property in Myanmar, following TRYP by Wyndham Yangon — the urban boutique hotel brand that made its debut in 2017. The 20-storey, 291-room luxury hotel forms part of the Kantharyar Centre, a new mixed-use project comprising office spaces, serviced apartments and retail outlets.
LUX North Male Atoll
Opening on 1 February 2019, LUX North Male Atoll is an up and coming resort with over-sized penthouse residences — a new concept for the Indian Ocean. Blending super-yacht panache with a South Beach pulse, each of the residences sits right on the beach, or over the water, with living areas that are at least 350 square metres.
