Hotel Villa Michelangelo Vicenza, part of Starhotels Collezione, has unveiled its newly redesigned rooms and suites following an extensive renovation. Led by designer Carlotta Oddone, the project integrates bespoke textiles and fine craftsmanship, creating a unique blend of local identity and contemporary design.

Originally an 18th-century Palladian-style residence, the hotel now features 52 individually designed rooms, each maintaining a cohesive colour palette. Oddone's design philosophy emphasises "invisible details" and a renewed concept of luxury, transforming each space into a lived experience. "The greatest challenge was to enhance the individuality of each space," Oddone stated, highlighting the role of colour as the project's protagonist.

The redesign draws inspiration from the Vicenza landscape, incorporating floral motifs and geometric stripes to balance organic and contemporary themes. Custom-designed textiles from Oddone’s Rosemarie and Stripes collections are used across furnishings, creating a unifying narrative throughout the hotel.

Local craftsmanship is central to the renovation, with artisans from Vicenza and Piedmont contributing to the project. Tappezzeria Bruscato produced and installed curtains and headboards, whilst artist Giorgio Bertoldo created wall decorations. Select original furnishings have been restored to maintain continuity with the villa's history.

General Manager Tomas De Martin Deppo expressed pride in the renovation, stating, "This renovation is much more than an aesthetic update: it reflects our vision of what we want to offer our guests." The project aligns with Starhotels' philosophy of luxury through attention to detail and respect for local heritage, ensuring each room tells its own story
