Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India's largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a new Gateway hotel in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. This greenfield project, located in the bustling area of Gomti Nagar, marks a significant expansion for IHCL in North India. The hotel will feature 215 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, and a bar. Guests will also have access to a spa, gym, and swimming pool.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, highlighted the importance of Lucknow as a growing commercial and administrative centre. This signing strengthens IHCL’s presence in one of North India’s key commercial and administrative centres," she said.
The hotel is designed to accommodate both business and social gatherings, offering over 8,000 square feet of banqueting space, pre-function areas, and conference facilities. Varun Gavri, Director of Kripanidhi Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "With its strategic location and the strength of IHCL’s hospitality expertise, the hotel will serve the evolving needs of travellers."
Lucknow, known for its rich cultural heritage and architectural landmarks, is a key hub in Uttar Pradesh. With this addition, IHCL will operate 64 hotels in the state, including 27 under development.
