Noted Collection Shinjuku Rendering

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of two new properties in Tokyo, introducing its premium brand, Noted Collection, to Japan. The first property, a 207-key conversion hotel, will open in Shinjuku in 2027, whilst the second, an 81-key new-build hotel, is set to open in Ginza in 2029. These developments mark a significant milestone for IHG as it expands its presence in Japan's premium hotel segment.

The Shinjuku hotel, located in the bustling Kabukicho district, will undergo renovation and rebranding to reflect the vibrant energy and culture of its surroundings. It aims to offer a unique experience that celebrates the individuality and local character of the area. The Ginza hotel, situated in the prestigious Ginza 8-chome district, will feature family-friendly suites and premium facilities, including a restaurant and bar and a fitness centre.

Abhijay Sandilya, Managing Director of Japan & Micronesia for IHG, highlighted the importance of these signings, stating, “Introducing Noted Collection to Japan through these two signings marks an important milestone for the brand and reflects the strong opportunity we see in the premium segment in Japan.”

The Noted Collection, launched earlier this year, is designed for distinctive independent properties. It allows hotel owners to maintain their individuality whilst benefiting from IHG’s global platform and loyalty programme. These Tokyo signings add to the brand's growing global pipeline, which includes properties in the UK and Saudi Arabia.
