Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost carrier, has announced the expansion of its India network, adding four new destinations: Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur. This brings the total to 12 Indian cities served with 49 weekly flights, significantly boosting connectivity for passengers, professionals, and cargo between India and Kuwait.
The airline's expanded network builds on existing operations to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram. The inclusion of these key South Indian cities offers more direct access for passengers, particularly benefiting large expatriate communities. This move re-establishes a vital air bridge, supporting one of the largest expatriate populations in Kuwait.
Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, Barathan Pasupathi, stated, "India remains a cornerstone of our network, with the Indian community forming the largest expatriate population in Kuwait. Since resuming operations on 20 March, we have served over 11,000 passengers under Project Vande Bharat, supporting the movement of people during a critical period."
Despite operational challenges, Jazeera Airways continues to maintain Kuwait's global connectivity. Currently, all services operate via King Fahd International Airport in Dammam and Qaisumah Airport in Saudi Arabia, ensuring a reliable travel alternative between India and Kuwait.
By the end of April 2026, Jazeera Airways plans to operate more than 31 destinations, with over 1,000 flights, offering 200,000 seats and more than 2 million tonnes of cargo capacity across its network. This expansion underscores the airline's commitment to connecting people and supporting communities
