Our client, a growing travel business, is looking for a Country Manager to be based in Lisbon, Portugal. This destination management company is looking for a senior travel professional to plan & deploy strategies and lead profitable growth. A solid team leader with experience in building strong internal and external relationships, this role will communicate the business plan at every level ensuring clarity across the business. Ideally, this role will require someone who is “hands-on” – able to help set up and manage the operations and reservations department as well as set sales and marketing strategy. Fluency in Portuguese and English is a must, this role will work closely with the in-destination partners building incremental sales, this role will also be responsible for building and maintain the relationships with the established incoming markets.

Skills

Experience in managing and leading teams
Fluent in Portuguese and English
Able to develop and implement business strategy
A business “all-rounder” able to implement best practice in sales, marketing, reservations, and operations.
Commercially aware and about to create viable business plans and budgets
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric outlook
Excellent presentation and communication skills – Able to work across different cultures
High attention to detail and high standards of service delivery.
