1. JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading a team who buy the best quality equipment, goods, and services, at the most competitive prices, through effective negotiation with suppliers, and analysing figures, the Director of Procurement assists the business to save money and increase profits. This role is responsible for providing services to Pattana Golf Club & Resort, Active Management Asia, and any ongoing special projects that are brought to the company.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Forecast levels of demand for services and products.
• Keep a constant check on stock levels.
• Conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers.
• Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers.
• Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided.
• Process payments and invoices for suppliers.
• Keep contract files and use them as reference for the future.
• Conduct 3-month price comparisons on all goods and services across the company.
• Forecast price trends and their impact on future activities.
• Give presentations and communicate to senior management about market analysis.
• Develop a long term purchasing strategy.
• Produce reports and statistics using computer software.
• Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
• Takes an active involvement and leads the process of selecting new suppliers and vendors.
• Selects the appropriate wholesalers, through careful analysis and planning
• Ensures suppliers are aware of business objectives, and follow strict health, safety, and hygiene practices.
• Attend meetings and trade conferences, and visit suppliers to monitor quality of operations.
• Train and supervise the work of other members of staff.
• Creates an operation throughout the business without use of store room.

3. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY.

• Attend any health, safety & security training as required by the company.
• Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards to your Superior.
• Be conversant with Health & Safety & Security Policies and procedures

4. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
