Job Description

Job Purpose:

A revenue director’s priority is to maximize hotel revenue through inventory and pricing controls. A DORM must actively promote revenue management concepts through, but not limited to, reservations sales, sales and front office.

Job Knowledge:

  • Years of related experience: 5 to 7 years
  • Education/qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field or above

Essential Job Skills:

  • Good Thai and English Language skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals
  • Detailed knowledge of working practices of sales
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Reasonable knowledge of computer systems
  • Ability to cope with pressure

Desirable Job Skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of computer systems
  • Proven track record in hotel of similar standard in similar capacity, within Asia/Pacific

Physical Requirements: 

  • In possession of all key faculties
  • Strong stamina

Level of Independence:

  •  Makes decisions within policy. Is required to perform independently and proactively without strong guidance

Level of Thinking

  • Type of Thinking: Difficult – may face situations that require modification of methods or techniques.

Communication/Interpersonal skills:

  • Skill level:
    • Good interpersonal skills required.
    • Interacts mainly with colleagues and occasionally with guests.
  • Language Skills:
    • Deals or negotiates in Thai and English.
    • Advantageous to be able to deal in additional languages.

  • Proficiency in role at required level.
  • Conversant with relevant emergency procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of company, hotel, and its environment.

  • English language requirements met or exceeded.
