Finance Manager – Greater Manchester – Travel Industry. An excellent opportunity to join an entrepreneurial travel business with ambitions of future growth.

Finance Manager Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Finance in this small-mid size travel business, you will be responsible for overseeing 2 other team members. You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place and all relevant operational responsibilities are being met such as the preparation of monthly management accounts including p&l, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts. You will oversee and report on financial risk management and produce MI reports.

Finance Manager Skills Required

• Experience working at a finance manager of management accountant level, preferably in the travel or leisure sectors but other industry experience will also be considered.
• Cash-flow management experience
• An understanding of the ‘Tour Operators Margin Scheme’ (TOMS) preferred
• Part or fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA) preferred
• Strong commercial acumen
• Experience in international markets desirable
• Previous experience using Sage 200 would be an advantage

Finance Manager Package

Up to £45,000 per annum dependent on experience plus private healthcare.
This will mainly be an office based role in the Greater Manchester area to immerse yourself in to the business, after which there could be some flexibility with remote working.
