IT Support – Close to Birmingham Airport – £20-24k. In this varied role you will be proving first line IT support to employees across the business as well supporting the Head of IT with a wide range of tasks relating to the systems, reporting and website.
IT Support Responsibilities
Working as part of a small and busy IT team, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks, diagnosing any hardware of software faults and solving any technical or applications issues over the phone or in person. Alongside the Head of IT, you will support with IT reporting, system upgrades, updating the website and prioritising workloads.
You will take ownership of IT queries from across the business, resolving on your own, with the IT Manager of external IT company if need be. IT Software queries may include Excel, UCA, Word, Vibe, Outlook, PowerPoint and other in-house systems.
IT Support Skills Required
2-3 years + experience in similar IT Support / IT Helpdesk roles
Knowledge of travel industry systems such as Vibe, Amadeus, Traveltek and Galileo would be a distinct advantage
Working knowledge of Dolphin, Crystal Reports, XML and SQL would all be an advantage
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Strong communicator and people skills
IT Support Package
A basic salary of £20,000 – £24,000 per annum. The role is offered on a 40 hour week contract, predominately Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm with occasional weekend or out of hour support as needed. This is a office based role, close to Birmingham airport
