GCS Recruitment are searching for a Manual QA Engineer with one of the leading international software companies in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing system requirements specifications, features descriptions, holding discussions with responsible Product Manager and developer, and present test scenarios
• Setting up test environments
• Using Test Management Tool to develop manual test scripts and to generate QA metrics
• Manual execution of functional, regression testing and non-functional testing (including stress, performance and load testing), utilizing test plans and test projects
• Reporting and following up on identified issues via the bug-tracking tool
• Verifying of fixes on pre-production and production environments
• Assisting in a creation of test plans, defining regression testing in your area of expertise
• Liaising in cooperation with the auto testing team on automation tests design
• Collaborating with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
• Working on regression testing improvement
• Preparing and presenting reports and metrics to Senior Management

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or any other related field
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
• Experience writing scripts using bash/python/powershell
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V or any other virtualization platform
• Experience with bug tracking tools, test management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to think strategically and analyze information
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work on own initiative, as well as within a team
• Ability to work under pressure when faced with tight deadlines
