Job Description

PR and Communications Manager – Global Travel Brand – Central London/Hybrid – c£50K. A fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, highly successful and multi-brand travel agency that cater to both the luxury and corporate sectors. Their offices are based in the heart of Central London with hybrid working an option (minimum 2 days a week in the office).

Public/Media Relations:

  • Manage all public/media relations efforts with national and local print, radio, TV and electronic news media. This requires management of constant outreach efforts, particularly with a focus on high-end, luxury trade and consumer news media for leisure, entertainment and business travel.
  • Act as media liaison
  • Create, write and disseminate news releases for the group.
  • Seek out PR opportunities
  • Create and manage news media lists needed to promote the luxury brands nationally, as well as where there are branch or local office locations.
  • Counsel and advise executives on all PR matters including positioning of the brands.
  • Assist in leading media training for key executives
  • Manage all media and publicity required for annual branch meetings and/or special events. This may include inviting and hosting news media, as well as managing news media briefings, writing and dissemination of news releases, etc.
  • Monitor the UK Government’s evolving policies regarding the travel industry and provide internal updates or draft media commentary as required.
  • Manage and report on all news coverage received
  • Compile daily clips report and news alerts.

Communications:

  • Manage all communications on behalf the group
  • Coordinate all activities with colleagues in other international markets to amplify the PR and internal messages.

PR and Communication Manager Skills Required

  • Significant PR and Media Relations experience either in-house or agency, preferably gained in the travel industry but other sector experience from global brands will also be considered
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills
  • A track record of building brand differentiation for high profile brands
  • Degree educated
  • Native level English (written and verbal)
  • Flexibility to occasionally travel globally in order to host press trips
  • An autonomous self-starter with great initiative

PR Manager Additional Information

A salary in the region of £50,000 depending on experience
