Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing sales opportunities for Manathai Hotels & Resorts. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieve personal and team related revenue goals in all market segments. Responsible for achieving hotels targets by optimising revenues through an assigned account base, as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets. Assigned markets may change according to Company’s needs.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Understanding Markets & Maximizing Revenue
Identifies new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
Understands the overall market – competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
Closes the best opportunities for the properties based on market conditions and properties’ needs.
Conducting Daily Sales Activities
Executes the properties’ reactive and proactive sales efforts.
Participates in telemarketing and sales calls and uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts: Bangkok DMCs, tour operators, corporate market, MICE and meeting planners.
Responsible for all segments of assigned geographical markets, which include, but not be exclusively limited to European and Australian markets.
Uses sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively.
Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
Has detailed knowledge of all services provided by the Hotels and all relevant facts and figures of hotels.
Manages the development of a strategic account plan for the demand generators in the market.
Researches competitor’s sales team strategies to identify ways to grow occupancy and RevPAR and increase market share.
Attends sales strategy meetings to provide input on overall sales strategy (daily, weekly or monthly as required).
Implements a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering high level of service.
Maintains successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses and providing a return on investment for the owners.
Implements the brand’s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotels’ sales objectives.
Develops and implements promotions and flash sales.
Works closely with and assists the Revenue Management team with strategies, gap to goals and strategy plans to achieve budgets.
Develops and manages relationships with key partners, both internal and external.
Attends customer events, trade/road shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with Travel Agents & Wholesalers when required.
Keeps databases and production information up to date / monthly of your own accounts. Completes reporting as directed.
Conducts product trainings for agents and potential partners in Thailand and oversees (online or during sales trips).
Uses database association marketing to Chambers of Commerce, Embassies and private clubs in Bangkok for both corporate and social groups as directed.
Co-ordinates sales related FAM trips and entertain said FAM trips when on site.
Cross sells sister property The Nai Harn Phuket when possible and pass to account manager.
Adheres to the Corporate SOPs.
Performs other duties, as reasonably assigned, to meet business needs.

Gains understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Thai National only
. Must be able to communicate in both written and spoken English and Thai. Proficiency in other language is an advantage
Knowledge of European and Australian Market operators locally and overseas
Knowledge and application of sales techniques such as building rapport, needs/values selling,
negotiating, and closing the sale
Sound problem solving and negotiating skills
