Job Description

GCS Recruitment is searching for a Shipping & Freight Forwarding Assistant with one of the leading logistics companies in Malta.

Responsibilities:

Obtaining freight quotations and providing quotes for both import and export shipments
Weighing and measuring goods for export
Identifying & processing customs documents
Monitoring status of shipments and updating clients accordingly
Coordinating with respective internal departments to input/update the Stock System
Inputting & finalising worksheet in accounts system
Processing of Certificates of Origin
Sending vessels movement report on a monthly basis
Logging on all vessel related details and information

Requirements:

At least an MQF level 3 of education would be ideal and possessing an ECDL Licence
Minimum of 1-year experience in similar role
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills with time management skills
Accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality across all tasks performed
Ability to work under pressure and on his/her own initiative
Team player
