GCS Recruitment are searching for a Software Development Engineer to work with one of the leading software companies located in Malta

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing system requirements specification, features descriptions and participating in discussions
• Using Test Management Tools to develop manual test scripts and to generate the QA metrics
• Manual execution of functional testing, regression testing and non-functional testing, including stress, performance and load testing, related to test plans and test projects
• Reporting issues identified in the bug-tracking tool and ensuring these are assigned and resolved
• Preparing and installing solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards and programming
• Verifying fixes on pre-production and production environments
• Improving operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
• Providing test reports to management
• Protecting operations by keeping information confidential

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or any other related field
• Minimum 1-year experience in similar position
• Experience working with VMware, Hyper-V, bash, python and PowerShell would be an asset
• Proven experience of configuring and administering Microsoft Windows Server
• Proven experience with bug tracking tools and test management tools
• Strong knowledge on software QA methodologies
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work within a team, as well as independently
• Great time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
