GCS Recruitment are searching for a Systems Administrator to work with one of the leading software companies in Malta.
Supporting and maintaining software and hardware infrastructure for end user computing
Managing network servers; onsite and cloud servers, communication services and the LAN / WAN infrastructure
Configuring of onsite and cloud-based services, Active Directory and maintenance of backups amongst other tasks
Monitoring performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshooting issues and outages
Ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrading systems with new releases and models
A minimum of a Diploma in IT or equivalent certification
CP Certification in a Windows Server OS and experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of Office 365, Azure, MS SQL Server, Hyper V, VMWare, Linux OS, MySQL, and Cisco routers would be considered a plus
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position would be considered an asset
Knowledge of and experience in virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, Windows Desktop & Windows Servers and Networking concepts
Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and File & Database servers
Network printing, troubleshooting skills, IT hardware and IT Infrastructure installation, support and maintenance
Naturally driven with eagerness to succeed
An excellent problem-solver with great analytical skills
