Technology Team Manager – Remote – £30-45k doe. We are seeking a passionate people manager with excellent coaching and development skills to provide leadership to a remotely based software engineering team of around 15 people. Whilst you don’t need an engineering or developer background yourself, an interest in technology and digital products certainly be important. As the team you will be looking after are predominately remotely based, this role can also be based anywhere in the UK.
Technology Team Manager Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering first class coaching and people management skills to drive the performance of a software engineering team, helping them achieve their goals and perform at their best. You will work closely with the technology leaders to ensure consistency in their approach and development needs of the team are met You will hold regular 1-2-1’s with individual team members using this time to coach and support them, have personal development conversations and set goals, manage performance whilst providing regular feedback. You will seek to drive engagement, retention and performance amongst the team, support with the recruitment of tech talent and continually seek improvements to processes.
Technology Team Manager Skills Required
Experience managing and coaching teams, driving high performance and tackling any performance issues head on
An ability to recognise people strengths and understand how these can benefit the business and their own development
Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
Passionate about learning and development
A keen interest in ever changing technology
Experience working in/with technical teams using agile methodologies preferred but not essential
Technology Team Manager Package
A basic salary of £30,000 – £45,000 per annum depending on experience
