The Job Purpose
We are looking for an energetic and driven Travel Experiences & Reservations (TER) Manager to lead and direct one of our key TER teams and to have day-to-day accountability for timely quality services across reservations and quotation services.
Role and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the management of one of DA Thailand’s key Leisure portfolios (FIT, Tailor-made, US Retail and Multicounty).
• Manage assigned TER team and champion a culture of collaboration, open communications, clear direction, accountability, and performance management within the assigned team.
• Manage and balance the team workload to meet the set turnaround time
• Delight our customers/clients by meeting their requirements, and adhering to agreed SLAs regarding proposals, quotations, and reservations services.
• Create proposals & costings for travel itineraries, input reservations and reconfirm bookings with/for overseas agents
• Ensure service excellence by following the Service Level KPIs set by the Head of Department for the team and ensure that the team is delivering against individual and team goals in the areas related to conversions, response time, up-sell, cross-sell, margin improvements etc.
• Ensure KPIs are tracked regularly to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Drive effective internal and external partnerships through engagement and collaboration
• Responsible for analyzing the booking P&L report and generating the bi-weekly forecasting of TER sales utilizing management tools and statistics
• Additional duties as set by the Head of Department (TER)
Experience & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in tourism or related field of study, or minimum eight years’ industry experience
• Experience in the Travel, Tourism and/or Hospitality Industry, with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory position in reservations and quotations.
• Experience in managing a diverse team
• Knowledge of a broad range of international source markets desirable
• Detailed destination and product knowledge of Thailand and rest of Asia.
• Experience in various travel operating systems (such as Travel Studio, Tourplan and similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills with internal stakeholders, but more critically external clients and customers.
• Able to work within a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing circumstances.
