Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) Canada is set to transform Toronto's Sankofa Square into a vibrant hub of Korean culture with the K-Travel Fest: Hello Korea on 12 and 13 September 2026. This free, two-day event invites the public to explore Korean travel and culture through a variety of engaging activities and experiences.
The festival promises a comprehensive Korean experience, featuring everything from K-Beauty and K-Food to live performances. Attendees can delve into travel information for iconic Korean cities such as Busan, Jeju, Gyeongju, and Jeonju, with opportunities for one-on-one travel consultations from specialised agencies.
Highlights include a culinary demonstration by celebrity chef Song Hoon, known for his role in "Culinary Class Wars 2", showcasing the creativity of Korean cuisine. The main stage will also host K-Pop cover dances, a Random Play Dance session, traditional Taekwondo demonstrations, and the Nanta drum performance.
Visitors can enjoy the Hangang River Ramyeon experience, cooking and tasting instant ramyeon as locals do in Seoul. The festival also offers cultural immersion activities like Hangeul calligraphy, vegan tattoos, and K-Beauty masterclasses.
For those planning a trip to Korea, exclusive travel deals and discounts will be available from eight participating travel agencies. Attendees with proof of a round-trip ticket to Korea can receive a special bonus gift, subject to availability.
Youna Oh, Director of KTO Canada, expressed excitement about the event, stating, "K-Travel Fest is designed to be a fully interactive experience. We want visitors to taste the regional flavours at our K-Pocha, feel the energy of our performers, and get inspired to make Korea their next travel destination."
The festival runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is open to the public. For more information, visit the official K-Travel Fest website
