LOT Polish Airlines has announced the addition of Bologna, Italy, to its expanding route network, marking the fourth Italian city served by the airline. The new service offers six flights per week from Warsaw, providing passengers with flexible travel options. Flights will depart every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:35 am, arriving in Bologna at 10:45 am, and every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 3:15 pm, arriving at 5:25 pm.
The introduction of Bologna as a destination caters to both business travellers and tourists. Amit Ray, Director India, DACH Markets, Italy + Malta, and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines, stated, “We are therefore delighted that, in addition to Rome, Venice and Milan, we can now offer our passengers a fourth Italian city. Bologna is a great destination combining economic strength with Italian traditions and is the gateway to Tuscany.”
Bologna, known for its luxury sports cars and rich culinary heritage, is a significant hub for mechanical engineering and agricultural processing. The city is home to renowned brands such as Lamborghini and Ducati and is celebrated as Italy’s culinary capital. Its medieval old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adds to its appeal.
The flights to Bologna are operated using Boeing B737MAX8 and Embraer aircraft, offering both LOT Business Class and LOT Economy Class. This expansion is part of LOT Polish Airlines' strategy to strengthen its presence in Central and Eastern Europe, connecting the region with the rest of the world
