The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and Visit Qatar have confirmed that Lusail City will host the 2026 Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final from 10 to 12 December. This marks the second consecutive year the event will take place in Qatar, drawing the world's elite triathletes and thousands of amateur participants.

The championship is the culmination of the T100 Race To Qatar, part of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, which includes stops in iconic locations such as the Gold Coast, Singapore, and San Francisco. Last year, British Olympian Kate Waugh and New Zealand's Hayden Wilde claimed victory in the women's and men's series, respectively.

Competitors in Lusail City will tackle the PTO's signature T100 distance, comprising a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km bike ride through the city's modern streets, and an 18km run through Lusail Plaza and Boulevard. The event is a significant fixture on Qatar's sporting calendar, attracting over 5,000 amateur athletes from local, regional, and international backgrounds.

In addition to the professional races, the 2026 programme includes the T100 Age Grouper World Championships, offering amateurs a chance to become T100 World Champions. To qualify, participants must place in the top 10 of their age group at a T100 event during the season and register by 31 October 2026.

The three-day festival will also feature community races, including an Open T100 race, Sprint distance triathlons, and a Kick Off run. Visitors can enjoy a village event with activities, entertainment, and food experiences
