The Macao Government Tourism Office has partnered with Hong Kong travel platform Flyday HK to launch the "MACAO, GET, SET, GLOW 2026" campaign, aiming to revitalise the city’s image by combining running sports with urban exploration.

The initiative, themed "Run Beyond the Landmarks, Discover Another Side of Macao," offers tourists a unique way to experience the city’s communities.

The campaign features four major themed routes, each with beginner, intermediate, and advanced jogging paths, led by key opinion leaders (KOLs). These routes include "Running & Gastronomy," which takes participants through traditional markets to taste local flavours; "Running & Heritage," offering a low-carbon exploration of Macao’s historical districts; "Running & Community," showcasing the cultural connections within local communities; and "Running & Scenery," highlighting the city’s coastal and leisure landscapes.

The campaign leverages social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to generate buzz, with online voting allowing the public to support their favourite routes. Offline, participants can engage in a "Check-in Running Challenge," earning rewards such as Marathon Sports coupons by completing challenges and sharing photos at landmarks.

Additionally, the campaign collaborates with AlipayHK to promote green tourism and boost the local economy. AlipayHK will distribute campaign vouchers, encouraging spending in local communities through seamless payment experiences and exclusive rewards. This initiative aims to extend tourists' stays and revitalise Macao’s economy through increased community engagement. For more details, visit the official campaign website
