MakeMyTrip has teamed up with the Ministry of Tourism to offer more than 350 guided tours across 60 cities in India, available for booking from 15 August. This initiative aims to provide travellers with an immersive experience of India's heritage, culture, spirituality, and cuisine, guided by local experts. The partnership aligns with the "Incredible India" and "Dekho Apna Desh" campaigns, encouraging Indians to explore the country's diverse offerings.

The tours, which range from walking and cycling to vehicle-based and multi-day formats, are designed to bring India's stories to life. Highlights include a Tea Tasting Session in Palampur, a heritage play in Agra, and the Sacred Ganges Immersion experience in Varanasi. Unique experiences such as an electric cycle ride through Goa and a walk through Mumbai's Dharavi Slum are also on offer, with prices starting from $6 (INR 500).

Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Tourism & Culture, emphasised the importance of local guides and communities in India's tourism sector, stating, “Our guides, local experts and communities are the backbone of India's tourism value chain.” Rajesh Magow, Executive Director & Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, noted the ease of booking these tours, akin to booking flights or hotels, highlighting the opportunity to showcase India's stories through curated content.

The partnership is supported by a campaign inviting travellers to experience India, with a promotional film released to capture the essence of this initiative
