Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia launched a two-day sales blitz in the North of England with more than 140 travels agents. The initiative, which ran from 19-20 June, involved a series of visits to key travel agents in Manchester and Cheshire including Far East Travel Centre, Clarity, Kuoni, Hay Travel, Travel Bag, Trailfinders, ITC, Aviate, Elegant Resorts and Virgin Holidays to promote the Malaysia mega FAM Incentive and ongoing mid-year sales.
As part of the sales blitz, Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia gave travel agents the exclusive opportunity to take part in a seat giveaway to win roundtrip tickets to Malaysia and other special prizes. Agents chose a magnet-covered seat onboard a Malaysia Airlines’ A350 to uncover a prize. Other potential prizes for the travel agents as part of the giveaway included signed shirts from Liverpool Football Club, Malaysia Airlines’ official global airline partner.
Daniel Bainbridge, regional manager for the UK, Europe & North America, Malaysia Airlines said, “Together with Tourism Malaysia, we are meeting our valuable trade partners in these key travel hubs and inviting them to take part in the Five-Star Malaysia Mega FAM Incentive and our ongoing mid-year sales.”
