Marriott International has been named the second-best workplace in Asia for large companies by Great Place to Work, a global authority on workplace culture. This achievement marks a rise from last year's third-place ranking and highlights the company's commitment to fostering an exceptional work environment across 22 markets in Asia, including 12 in Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC).
The accolade is based on the Trust Index survey feedback from Marriott associates, showcasing the company's dedication to creating a culture where employees feel trusted, empowered, and valued. In 2026, 15 markets achieved Great Place to Work certification, up from 10 in 2025. Additionally, eight markets entered the National List Rankings, with South Korea and India receiving six special awards for categories such as Best Workplaces for Women and Health & Wellness.
Rajeev Menon, President of Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “We are humbled by the achievements seen not just in one market, but across the region. Beyond awards, the results are validations from our associates that their feeling of belonging is deeply rooted in our core value of putting people first.”
Marriott's commitment extends beyond awards, with over 180,000 associates contributing more than 363,000 volunteer hours in the first half of 2026. The company also focuses on inclusivity, with a 38% increase in the representation of persons with disabilities across APEC since 2025, particularly in Australia, Indonesia, and India.
