Community Homestay Network has announced its first guaranteed departure multi-day trips in Nepal, aligning with the country's newly revealed 2028 tourism strategy.

Starting from 6 September 2026, eight immersive itineraries will be available, including the eight-day "Hidden Gems of the Kathmandu Valley: Culture, Crafts, and Nature." Over 100 departures are planned until December 2027.

The announcement follows the Balen government's "Visit Nepal 2028" campaign, aiming to double visitor spending and attract 2.5 million tourists by 2029. The strategy focuses on diversifying tourism beyond mountain trekking to include community experiences, culture, and nature. Plans also include online visas and upgraded aviation infrastructure.

Shiva Dhakal, founder of Community Homestay Network, expressed optimism about the government's focus on community tourism. "The support of community-led experiences will provide travellers with richer experiences across our stunning country," Dhakal stated. He emphasised that all itineraries are co-created with local communities to empower them and share their stories.

The new itineraries include:

**Hidden Gems of the Kathmandu Valley:** An eight-day journey through Newari culture, priced from $1,165 (US$1,165), starting 6 September 2026.
**Live The Tharu Way:** A nine-day exploration of Terai's wildlife and Tharu culture, priced from $2,245 (US$2,245), starting 11 October 2026.
**Eastern Nepal: The Road Less Taken:** An eight-day adventure from Kathmandu to Janakpur, priced from $1,770 (US$1,770), starting 20 September 2026.
