Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has revealed the first images of its upcoming Great Tides Waterpark on Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, set to officially open on 4 September 2026. The waterpark, spanning nearly six acres, promises a mix of thrilling attractions and family-friendly activities, including 19 waterslides, a wandering river, and the Caribbean's tallest cliff jumps.
Guests can look forward to unique experiences such as The Wandering River's immersive tunnel and The Great Slide, the Caribbean’s only four-person body slide. The waterpark also introduces Tidal Tower with its duelling Master Blaster slides, and Cliffside Cove, home to the industry's first cliff jumps. For families, Splash Cay offers a dedicated splash zone.
Dining options at Great Tides Waterpark will include Low Tide Smoke, serving barbecue favourites, and Catch of the Cay, offering premium seafood. Sweet treats are available at Tidal Treats, featuring handcrafted desserts like the Strawberry Red Velvet Sundae.
Marc Kazlauskas, president of NCL, expressed excitement about the waterpark's opening, stating it will offer "adrenaline-pumping attractions and family-friendly activities" alongside unique dining experiences. The island's new two-berth pier is now open, ensuring easy access for guests.
Visitors can reserve private cabanas or enjoy adult-only spaces at the new Vibe Shore Club. Day passes for the waterpark are available for purchase, with the grand opening coinciding with Norwegian Luna’s Caribbean sailing on 29 August 2026
