Novotel is set to launch its inaugural Longevity Week this September, aiming to encourage people worldwide to adopt small, daily wellness habits that can lead to healthier and more fulfilling lives. The initiative, running from 7 to 13 September, coincides with the 37th week of the year, symbolising the potential for a 37-fold improvement in wellbeing through incremental daily changes.
A global study conducted by Novotel, involving 13,000 respondents across 12 countries, highlights a growing focus on long-term health. Over 71% of participants expressed increased interest in their future wellbeing compared to five years ago. Despite recognising the importance of a balanced diet, quality sleep, and regular exercise, many struggle to implement these habits, with 76% wishing for a healthier lifestyle.
The wellness landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with 67% of respondents finding it challenging to discern trustworthy health advice on social media. Nonetheless, 62% remain confident in identifying credible information, underscoring the need for expert guidance.
Leading Longevity Week is the Novotel 37 Collective, a group of athletes and experts, including Olympic surfer Kauli Vaast and sleep expert Olivia Arezzolo. They will host free sessions on four pillars of longevity: Eat, Sleep, Move, and Meet. These sessions will be available online and in Novotel hotels worldwide.
Jean-Yves Minet, Global Brand President of Novotel, emphasised the importance of practical, science-backed habits for long-term wellbeing. Longevity Week aims to make wellness accessible, encouraging small, consistent actions that can significantly impact health over time.
